Clarence Penn is a Brooklyn-based jazz drummer, and regular member of Dave Douglas’s quintet. He’s been faculty with the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music since 2004, where he packs his days with master classes, ensemble workshops, and onstage jams, fitting in the occasional meal and hike in the woods.
