Banff Centre among facilities selected to lead 2010 Alberta Arts Days celebrations

Government of Alberta: “To inspire Alberta Arts Days events across the province and increase Albertans’ access to cultural experiences, the Government of Alberta has formed partnerships with five cultural facilities. Lethbridge’s Yates Memorial Theatre, Grande Prairie’s Prairie Art Gallery, Red Deer’s Bower Pond Stage, St. Albert’s Arden Theatre and the Banff Centre have been selected as the 2010 Alberta Arts Days Feature Celebration Sites.”

Sara Diamond — Ontario art college leader comes full circle

In 1995, she founded the Banff New Media Institute which has grown to become internationally renowned. When she was invited to take the top spot at OCAD, she saw it as an opportunity to come full circle.… She stays in close touch with OCAD students through frequent dinners at her house called Dining With Diamond, organized by the student union.”
