<p>&#8220;Singer-songwriter Jill Barber spent a few head-clearing, revitalizing winter weeks there as part of the Banff Centre&#8217;s Leighton Artist Colony nearly three years ago, writing many of the songs that would appear on her 2008 album <em>Chances</em>.</p>
